An international educator, author, mother, crone, and creator of Core Awareness™, she focuses on awareness as the key for developing human potential and awakening consciousness. With over 45 years of experience specializing in the tissue called Psoas, Liz is recognized in the somatic, bodywork, and fitness professions as an authority on what is referred to in Daoist healing as the muscle of the soul. Her teaching includes developing racial, social, and cultural awareness of the BODY not as an object but as a living process. Nationally and internationally published, her major works include The Psoas Book, Core Awareness: Enhancing Yoga, Pilates, Exercise & Dance, Mother, Maiden, Crone: Our Pleasure Playlist and Stalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence.
Liz Koch, a former instructor at the Museum School of Fine Arts and Ursula Beck, Founder of THE TAOS ART SCHOOL, first crossed paths at The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, in the late '70s.
