The Psoas is the only tissue
connecting our upper and lower body.
The flow of Sacral and Root Chakra’s

is more than muscular balance,
it can be a pathway
to enhancing Creative possibilities
“ Moving in new and unexpected ways literally reshapes tissue, enhancing our creative possibilities. . . .What does it mean to fully thrive? What stops creative exploration? What is the nature of Play? How does an open exploration rather than a defined exercise change the way we think and feel about ourselves? “ —Liz Koch

Although culture defines the “wild” as untamable, feral, out of control, riotous, ridiculous, rash, stupid, impractical, and tempestuous, welcoming the wild helps us avoid living a domesticated, indifferent, and unenthusiastic life.
Enfolding somatic awareness and biomorphic movement into our life changes not only the course of our health but also the creative expression of our soul.
Moving in new and unexpected ways literally reshapes tissue, enhancing our creative possibilities.
What does it mean to fully thrive? What stops creative exploration? What is the nature of play? How does an open exploration rather than a defined exercise change the way we sense, think, and feel about ourselves?
CLASS TIME: Liz Koch will be with us for four days filled with body awareness and art activities. The forth day, we travel 1/2 hr. away to spend time in a beautiful Flowing place quietly assimilating our experiences.
BODY NURTURING: Here at The TAOS ART SCHOOL we put care into arranging for the Nurturing of your Body and Soul.We are blessed to have a swimming pool for our use during this week, as well as quiet walks. Some of our activities may take place in the pool, so bring a swim suit. A nearby garden is also available for quiet ‘Veriditas’ reflection.
THE MIGHTY RIO GRANDE RIVER Is the lifeblood of Taos and we will guide you to a quiet shady place of a confluence between the tributary from Taos Pueblo and the main river, where they join on their way to the Ocean.Picnic included. We are inspired by Liz’s book: STALKING WILD PSOAS. After a morning with Liz guiding us in Movement and Confluence, We can explore time on the banks of this magnificent Flow, allowing : “Diverse rivulets of perception to meander, or new inspirations to spring forth.
ART ACTIVITIES: As Liz says: “ Moving in new and unexpected ways Literally reshapes tissue, enhancing our creative possibilities.
Some of you might have a creative process you are currently engaged in that you would like to explore while experiencing these movements. Feel free to bring whatever you like to facilitate this: Writing, painting, clay, music instrument, really- anything.
Many others of you would prefer to ‘see what comes up’ and avail yourself of the art and music supplies we will have available. All are welcome.
